Two Cubs for Shirley

In January we talked about Colonel Dave Goodwin and his wife Nancy in "Where Eagles fly." Here is more about their Roxborough Ranch and a carved mountain lioness, named Shirley, resting there on top of a rock. Shirley will be united with two cubs; all three will be overlooking the Ranch. Watch artist Dave Shelton at work.

Shirley, carved by Dave Shelton, overlooking the ranch, waiting for her cubs

Colonel Dave Goodwin invited me to observe the initial fitting of wood carvings of two lion cubs that will eventually occupy a rock promontory on their property, the Roxborough Ranch; right next to an already existing carved mountain lioness, named Shirley.
