Dix G. Morris was born in 1936 and lived her childhood days on a farm
in Southwest, Texas.
Her father was a farmer-rancher and her mother, a teacher and school
administrator.
Dix was the youngest of five children.
Dix, and her husband, Frank, founded the Liberation Psychotherapy
Training Center in South Bend, Indiana, in the mid 1970's. In her
paintings, she seeks to communicate the values they taught across
the years of beauty, truth, justice, goodness, and love.
Dix founded the Kentuckiana Artists Pastel Society in 1998, attained
Signature Member in 2000, and served as president until moving to
Colorado in 2002.
Dix G. Morris currently serves as Chairperson of the Castle Rock Art
Commission.
She is a Signature Member of the Colorado Pastel Society. In June
of 2006, she founded the Greater Castle Rock Art Guild.
She enjoys painting a variety of subjects. Her paintings are in private
collections in the Midwest, Colorado, Texas and California.
