Julie Woods was born and raised in Colorado. She started drawing animals at a young age and is a self-taught
artist. Her family always referred to her as "a God given talent."

Early in her career she painted in acrylics, pen & ink, scratchboard. Today her preferred medium is pastels.

Julie has entered many local, as well as national juried shows and exhibits her art at the Running Creek Gallery in Elizabeth, Colorado.

Julie worked for Ducks Unlimited, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Quail Unlimited, Children’s Medical Network , Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association , and the Thoroughbred Association.

Julie and her husband Jeff live near a cattle ranch, where her husband works. They have a son, Rick, and a daughter, Nikki. Julie is also assistant teacher at Singing Hills Elementary School.

Julie accepts commissions and has art hanging experience.
