"Handing Over The Heart"
The birth of this particular piece came
because I myself have not only observed this in life, I have also experienced
it. There is a part of every one of us that God tenderly and unconditionally
gave to us. The heart...
The heart, something that is so precious, we constantly want to protect
it. Everyday we make decisions that touch our heart, or that of another.
I believe our heart is the hardest thing to give fully over to God or
to a loved one. We all seek to give it, only to take a part of it back
once again.
I have created this bronze sculpture as a maiden, slightly leaning,
with one foot bare, as she is ready to step forward. This is representative
of her walk. A walk of trust, a walk of faith, a walk with God. With
lips slightly parted, her breath is taken away as one hand rests upon
her heart and the other reaches out to hand a part of herself over.

heart...” Matthew 22:37 (KJV)

Catching
the Rain
"Catching
the Rain" |
As
with many artists, my desire to become a bronze sculptor came from
my childhood. As the daughter of a very
passionate artist, my father, I learned early on to communicate through
the impact of art. I speak more fluently through my clay than I do
through words. Art has become a second language for me. Transforming
an unspoken, indescribable feeling or emotion into something tangible.
Sculpture attracts me with it's wealth of expressive possibilities.
I believe everyone is given something special, and so... I thank God
for this gift.

"Carpe Diem"
The birth of this particular piece came because
I myself have always been a daydreamer. I somehow wanted to capture
that feeling, that period of time in which we all, at some point in
our lives steal a moment to embrace our hopes and our dreams. The
woman in this sculpture has been one of work as her hands are strong,
yet show signs of wear. She is very content and thankful with her
life. Thankful for the sun on her face as she takes a break from her
daily tasks. Thankful for the breath of freshness the outside breeze
has offered her. Thankful for the moment while she sits and lets her
thoughts soar as her eyes gaze out into the heavens. Thankful...for
this window of time!

"A
Gift From the Sea"

"A Gift From the Sea"
The Ocean’s precious gem, the sea shell. Complex, yet
so simple. An intricate work of God. A maiden tugs on her dress in hopes
her hem stays clear of the cool sea water below. She delicately holds
a shell which has blossomed like a flower under the cover of the deep
blue blanket. She takes a moment to quietly enjoy its beauty. Walls
like fine porcelain, once housed a small creature and kept it safe.
As the waves and the tide reveal the mood of the sea, they also bring
forth its treasures. Unveiling artworks as the waters recede. Beautiful
treasures show us life that is hidden. And so a gift remains... A Gift
From the Sea! -Nadine Partridge

"The
Thief"

"The Thief"
Inspired by my wonderful horse Sadie Girl, who really is a chicken
dressed as a horse. Making a victim of a poor, innocent snowman standing
quietly alone in his winter wonderland. But in Sadie’s eyes, he
is a giant snow cone that may grab her at any moment and eat her alive!
So, cautiously and ever so slowly she stretches out, taking the flight
position, ready to bolt as soon as her lips remove the golden morsel.
In this, she is successful. No longer is she just a horse, but has been
named by all the barn animals as... “The Thief“.--Nadine
