I
love to create color, texture and interest. Painting allows me to
express my emotions and desires in a dimensional way. I have been
described as a colorist whose paintings are brilliant, full of expressive
moment and life. When I paint I lose myself. I hope my viewers are
drawn into my paintings and lose themselves too. I love painting animals,
landscapes and subjects that move me.
I
began painting at 7 years of age. My education began with private
lessons in oil. I studied at the Memphis Academy of Art. At Memphis
State University my interest shifted to pastels while minoring in
Art and pursuing my degree in business.
Inspired
by the beautiful colors of the Colorado landscape I began working
in Acrylics. My education has continued in Denver at the Art Students
League and Arapahoe Community College. I am a Charter Member of the
Greater Castle Rock Artist Guild. My work is for sale at Partridge
Studio Gallery and Gifts in Sedalia, Colorado.
I
have exhibited at:
The Art Students League;
Arapahoe Community College;
Columbine Juried Art Show;
and Collierville Tennessee Juried Art Show.
